Youth for Sustainable Policy (YSP) is established as a youth‑led, impact‑driven initiative dedicated to advancing sustainable, equitable, and evidence‑based public policy. This Charter defines the structure, principles, and governance framework guiding YSP's programmes, operations, and community.

Mission & vision

Mission. To empower youth to engage with global challenges through research, storytelling, and policy dialogue, while making public policy accessible.

Vision. A future where young people are active, informed participants shaping policy at local, national, and global levels.

Organisational structure

YSP operates under a structured leadership system. Roles and responsibilities are defined through the Team Directory, weekly check‑ins, and departmental coordination led by the COO.

Programme framework

YSP runs a 16‑week structured programme across six routes — Research, Policy, Business, Diplomacy, Environment, and Community. Outputs are published or presented under the member's name.

Membership

Eligibility is open to youth aged 16–28. Participation is remote and asynchronous, structured around 5–10 hours per week.

Code of conduct & ethics

All members must act with respect, professionalism, and integrity; engage in evidence‑based discussion; and maintain academic honesty. Violations may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Code of Conduct & Ethics Policy.

Data privacy & confidentiality

YSP commits to responsible handling of data in line with PDPA compliance. Members must protect confidential information and use data responsibly and ethically. See the Data Privacy & PDPA Compliance Policy.

These systems ensure accountability, coordination, and transparency across teams.

Amendments

By participating in YSP, members agree to uphold this Charter and all associated policies, contribute to a professional, impact‑driven environment, and support YSP's mission and values.
