Scope
This policy applies to all members — C‑Suite, Directors, Managers, General Members, and Volunteers — and covers all outputs produced within YSP programmes.
- Research papers & policy briefs.
- Articles, editorials, and reports.
- Presentations, media, and podcasts.
- Designs, branding, and digital assets.
Ownership of work
Individual ownership
Members retain primary authorship and credit for original work they create.
Organisational usage rights
By participating in YSP, members grant YSP a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, perpetual license to publish, distribute, and showcase their work; edit for clarity, formatting, and accessibility; and use work for educational, promotional, and institutional purposes.
Collaborative work
For co‑created outputs, all contributors must be clearly credited. Disputes are reviewed by the relevant Director or C‑Suite lead.
Attribution & credit
Members may include their YSP work in portfolios, university or job applications, and personal publications — with proper acknowledgment of YSP.
- All published work includes clear attribution to its author(s).
- YSP maintains a standardised author credit format across platforms.
Use of brand & assets
- The YSP name, logo, and branding are the intellectual property of the organisation.
- Members may not use YSP branding for external projects without prior approval.
- All official communications must align with YSP's brand and quality standards.
Confidentiality & internal materials
- Internal documents — strategy, operations, member data — are confidential.
- Members must not share internal materials without authorisation.
- Breaches may result in removal or disciplinary action.
Academic integrity
All work must be original, properly cited, and factually accurate. Plagiarism, falsification, or misuse of sources is strictly prohibited and may result in removal of published work, or suspension or termination of membership.
External collaborations
Any work involving external organisations — NGOs, institutions, sponsors — must be approved by the Partnerships or C‑Suite team, and clearly define IP ownership and usage rights beforehand.
Dispute resolution
- Review by the relevant Manager or Director.
- Escalation to C‑Suite, if necessary.
- Final decision based on fair attribution and documented contribution.
